Bio Shetland is a GOTS-certified, slightly rustic wool yarn for all those who love knitting with many beautiful colors and soft wool yarn. The yarn is perfect for embroidery, but you can also use it to create beautiful braids and lace. You can influence the density of the knitting by choosing the right size needles; with smaller needles you can make, for example, mittens, for which one skein of yarn is enough. With larger needles, such as 3 mm - 3.5 mm, you can make, for example, a size M sweater, for which you need four skeins of yarn. Even larger needles are recommended for scarves.
The raw organic Shetland wool comes from mulesing-free farms in South America. The yarn is spun using several different shades, which creates a beautiful melange color. This yarn is also GOTS certified, making it an excellent choice for children's knitwear and accessories. GOTS certification (Global Organic Textile Standard) ensures the ecological and ethical nature of the products by monitoring the production process at all stages; for example, special attention is paid to water consumption.
